Information Day in Sumy «How to find a business partners in the European Union»

The Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine, together with the EEN-Ukraine Consortium held an information day "How to find a business partner in the European Union?" on 16 of May 2018. The event was attended by more than 20 representatives of innovative enterprise and various start-ups of the region.

Among the main experts of the event were:

• Oksana Popruga, representative of the Department of Economic Policy of the EU Delegation to Ukraine;
• Taras Savchenko, Head of the Center for Business Support of Sumy;
• Andriy Yaremkevich, representative of Enterprise Europe Network Expert;
• Eugene Bilan, vice president of the Sumy Chamber of Commerce and Industry;

The main topics of the event were:

1. The benefits of a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area for Ukrainian entrepreneurs;
2. Presentation of COSME (Competiveness of Small and Medium Enterprises) - European Small and Medium Enterprise Support Program;
3. Presentation of the opportunities of the Enterprise Europe Network as an instrument for finding foreign partners;
4. EEN Practical Training on Finding Partners and Investors in Europe;
5. Grant opportunities for small and medium businesses.

The Information Day participants received detailed information on European Business Support Tools and an overview of SME Programs: Horizon 2020, COSME, EEN. The reports attracted huge interest from the audience and a lively discussion of the details and capabilities of the EEN.
