How to operate in EU markets without barriers? Key takeaways from the technical regulation workshop!

Yesterday, March 18, an important expert workshop titled “Technical Regulations in the Transport Sector” took place, focusing on the new rules of the game in the international logistics and export market.

The world is changing, and requirements for product safety and packaging are becoming stricter. Together with certified consultant Alla Saipanova, we explored how Ukrainian businesses can not only adapt, but also gain advantages from the new regulations.

Key insights from the meeting:

  • GPSR (General Product Safety Regulation): We discussed a new era of non-food product safety in the EU. Responsibility for compliance with safety standards now falls on all participants in the supply chain.
  • Logistics and packaging: We took a detailed look at new rules regarding packaging waste. Sustainability is no longer a trend but a legal requirement in the EU that transport operators must comply with.
  • Legal security: How to minimize regulatory risks and avoid border delays caused by incorrect labeling or non-compliance with technical regulations.
  • Entering new markets: Knowledge of standards opens doors not only to Europe, but also to Asian markets, where requirements are increasingly aligning with European ones.

As an additional benefit, participants had the opportunity to find partners through an international matchmaking platform, which is critically important for building new logistics routes.

Thank you to everyone who joined!

Technical regulation is not about complicated paperwork — it is about safety, quality, and your competitiveness in the global market.
