Seeds of Bravery | About the Partners: Institute of Physics
Within the Seeds of Bravery project, the Institute of Physics worked to transform strong scientific deep tech research into successful startups.
The Institute of Physics is a research institution of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine that collaborates with SMEs, startups, research centers, and educational institutions. The Institute coordinates projects within FP7, H2020, NATO, COSME, STCU, and SMP programs, provides access to funding for SMEs and startups through EEN, UkraineReady4EU, CentralUkrainianEDIH, and EENergy, and serves as the organizer of the international scientific and practical conference “Nanotechnology and Nanomaterials” (NANO).
As a partner in the consortium, the Institute of Physics supported the internationalization of Ukrainian innovations and increased their visibility — in particular through participation in startup delegations and international events.
As part of the Seeds of Bravery project, the Institute of Physics:
<ul>provided consulting services to SMEs, startups, and research innovation centers to build international partnerships and connections using EEN and EDIH networks;
supported the organization of Ukrainian startup delegations to international events, including BW Summit and Metaverse Congress;
contributed to the implementation of development programs such as Science2Business and Deep&Digital Tech Booster, and provided technology assessment services, including TRL evaluation;
organized a series of webinars on access to funding within EIC and Horizon Europe programs;
strengthened connections between research startups and European innovation ecosystems, science, deep tech research, and market-oriented innovations — particularly through EEN Ukraine and the Central Ukrainian EDIH database.
Thanks to its scientific expertise and strong links with European networks, the Institute of Physics has helped deep tech startups not only gain international visibility but also establish themselves as a strong part of Europe’s scientific and innovation community.
