International EEN Newcomers training in Brussels

November 12-13, 2019

Since 12 till 13 November, 2019, an international training โ€œNewcomersโ€ was held in Brussels (Belgium). The training was attended by representatives of the EEN-Ukraine consortium who have recently joined to Enterprise Europe Network. It was conducted in the context of a comprehensive review of the structure and principles of the Enterprise Europe Network, including its partners (EC, EASME, Network partners). The Network helps businesses innovate and grow on an international scale. It is the worldโ€™s largest support network for small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) with international ambition.

The training was attended by more than 30 representatives of the Enterprise Europe Network from different European countries. Andrii Vitrenko (Expert of the EEN-Ukraine Consortium, Dr. of Science in Economics at Taras Shevchenko National University) and Tamara Tsebrienko (Expert of the EEN-Ukraine Consortium, Dr. of Science at the Institute of Physics of NAS) took part in the training from the EEN-Ukraine Consortium.

All participants had the opportunity to hear thematic reports from leading experts of the Enterprise Europe Network:

  • Argyro Karachaliou (DG GROW),
  • Darina Botsova (EASME),
  • Ljiljana SIMIC,
  • Jean-Francois LE ROUX.

Network experts told the new project participants in detail about the features of the network as a system and about the cooperation between its participants from almost 70 countries. There were reviewed the main goals and ways to improve cooperation were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the support of innovative SME projects. The session also included questions about contractual relations of the system; networked IT tools; multicultural communication, namely, discussion of cultural differences, stereotypes, etc.

In addition to providing a wealth of professional advice and guidance, this training provided a brilliant opportunity to meet new friends and make new contacts with Enterprise Europe Network colleagues.

We should also particularly thank the organizers of this training, especially Ms. Elfride BOUTE (EASME) for organizing the event at a high level.
