On June 3–4, 2025, our innovative teams took part in the Start-up BW Discovery Tour — an event that opens the door to one of Europe’s most powerful startup ecosystems in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
Over the course of two days, Ukrainian startups visited leading technology and medical clusters, incubators, accelerators, and university hubs. Here’s who we met:
Cyber Valley (Tübingen)
The largest research collaboration in artificial intelligence in Europe. Cyber Valley brings together science, industry, and society, advancing machine learning, computer vision, and robotics. It’s a launchpad for AI startups aiming for global growth.
Medical Innovations Incubator & 4C Accelerator (Tübingen)
This incubator focuses on supporting innovation in medical devices, diagnostics, and digital health. With a holistic approach, MII helps startups navigate the complex medical landscape.
Aesculap (Tuttlingen)
A global leader in the production of surgical instruments and implants. Part of the B. Braun group, the company invests in innovations that save lives and enhance surgical practice worldwide.
MedicalMountains (Tuttlingen)
A cluster uniting over 400 medtech companies. It fosters collaboration among SMEs, researchers, and public institutions in the field of medical technologies.
BadenCampus & arise Accelerator (Freiburg)
An innovation hub for deeptech startups, especially in healthcare. Offers mentoring, funding, and direct industry connections — a true bridge to scaling within the EU.
CUBEX Mannheim and MedTech Cluster (Mannheim)
Mannheim is a hub for medical innovation and digital technologies. Ukrainian startups connected with:
- Life Science Accelerator — prepares bio- and medtech startups for investment;
- NEXT MANNHEIM — supports foreign startups entering the German market;
- INSPIRE Living Lab & Coordination Office — helps integrate innovations into clinical practice;
- M²AXI Usability Lab — tests the usability of medical devices in real-life settings;
- Fraunhofer IPA (Clinical Technologies) — offers research in AI, 5G, and hybrid operating rooms.
Final Event in Stuttgart
At the Design Offices Stuttgart-Mitte, Ukrainian startups wrapped up the tour in a warm atmosphere of networking with international participants, investors, and industry experts.
The Ukrainian delegation was organized in cooperation with @Enterprise Europe Network Ukraine, @Enterprise Europe Network Baden-Württemberg, @Steinbeis Europa Zentrum, and Central Ukraine EDIH.
