Yesterday, the Manufacturing Days event took place in Ukraine, organized by EIT Manufacturing, aimed at showcasing the latest achievements and perspectives of Ukrainian and European industries. Participants had the opportunity to connect with key European and Ukrainian players in the automotive industry, manufacturing sector, circular production, and flexible manufacturing systems. They also learned how to make their companies more competitive, innovative, sustainable, and environmentally friendly.
This unique forum brought together industrial sector specialists from across Europe and beyond, with a focus on disseminating the latest information in the manufacturing industry, incorporating innovative methods and approaches, and facilitating matchmaking among participants.
The event took place at one of Ukraine’s leading manufacturing facilities: the Eurocar plant, the official manufacturer of Škoda cars in Ukraine. The plant is one of the largest producers of passenger cars in Ukraine, equipped for both small-scale and medium-scale assembly of vehicles. It is located in the village of Solomonovo in the Uzhhorod district of the Zakarpattia region, Ukraine, near the industrial park “Solomonovo”.
Participants and key players in the European and Ukrainian markets discussed innovations, education, and business development in Ukraine. Invited representatives from the European Commission also spoke at the Manufacturing Day Ukraine:
- Jakub Boratynski, Director for Communications and Governance, Directorate General for Growth, European Commission
- Martina Dies, Senior Expert, Directorate General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship, and SMEs, European Commission
Speakers and experts from the automotive industry shared their experiences and visions for the further development of Ukraine’s innovative and manufacturing ecosystem. Among the speakers at the event were representatives of the EEN-Ukraine consortium:
- Olga Shubina, Coordinator of the EEN-Ukraine consortium, shared information about the new support tool for small and medium-sized businesses, Economic Bridge
- Olena Fesenko, Head of the Department of International Scientific and Technical Activities, Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property Protection at the Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and General Manager of the EEN-Ukraine consortium, discussed the Digital Innovation Center being established at the Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
The event was moderated by Olga Trofymova, who contributed significantly to its organization. This event marked a significant step towards enhancing cooperation between Ukraine and the EU.
