Strengthening Cooperation for Innovation, Internationalization, and Startup Development in Ukraine — Roundtable Discussion

On May 27, 2025, a roundtable discussion was held in Kyiv, organized by the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI) — the national coordinator of Enterprise Europe Network Ukraine and representative of the Central Ukraine EDIH and EIT Communities.

The event gathered over 40 participants, including representatives of government bodies, business support organizations, researchers, donors, and international partners to discuss the key challenges and opportunities for Ukraine’s innovation-driven development.

One of the central topics was the development of the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) representation in Ukraine. During the event, the services and capabilities of the Central Europe Digital Hub were presented — a platform that supports the digital transformation of Ukrainian companies and facilitates their integration into European and global markets.

The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) was introduced as a key support network for small and medium-sized enterprises, helping businesses find international partners, technological solutions, and funding to promote sustainable growth.

Main objectives of the event:

  • Strengthen cooperation among government, business, academia, and international organizations to implement Ukraine’s innovation strategy
  • Support digital transformation through the Central Europe Digital Hub
  • Expand the EEN network to broaden international opportunities for Ukrainian SMEs
  • Exchange experiences and best practices among key innovation ecosystem stakeholders
  • Identify coordination mechanisms for scaling innovative initiatives
  • Develop a roadmap for continued cooperation and development
