Online Event: Danube and Black Sea Ports – New Opportunities for Ukrainian Agro-Exports

Date: March 26, 2024

Time: 10:00 (CET)

Format: Online Ukraine is one of the leading producers and exporters of grain, but since the full-scale Russian invasion in February 2022, production has significantly decreased. Thanks to the working grain corridor, about half of Ukraine’s agricultural exports are carried out through Black Sea ports, a quarter through Danube ports, and a quarter through the western border. Today, the main question facing Ukrainian exporters and international partners is how to achieve pre-war levels of exports and reach the most distant countries in the world. In times of conflict, such as the ongoing war in Ukraine, the role of Danube and Black Sea ports in facilitating agricultural exports may be particularly challenging but also crucial for supporting the economy and ensuring food security. Main goals of the event: Description of the current state of logistical and port infrastructure. Discussion of new potential avenues and prospects for cooperation with EU ports and the logistic ecosystem for delivering Ukrainian agricultural products. Presentation of potential partners and products. B2b negotiations within the UA/EU Solidarity Lanes platform.
